These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the sikacar.com website and valuation service ("sikacar.com", "we", "us"). By requesting a valuation, verifying your number, or selling a vehicle to us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
sikacar.com is a vehicle-buying service operating in Ghana, with operating in Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale. All prices are quoted in Ghana Cedi (GHS / ₵).
2. Valuations are estimates
The figure shown online is an indicative valuation, not a contract. It is generated from the vehicle details you provide using our Ghana pricing model, with current public market evidence used when available.
- We estimate the open-market value of your vehicle.
- We then deduct a service and resale margin that covers reconditioning, branch handling, warranty risk and the cost of buying your car instantly for cash.
- The result is presented as a single indicative cash estimate.
The online figure is indicative. The final price offered at the branch will depend on the physical condition of the vehicle as assessed during the free inspection, and may differ from the online estimate.
3. Mobile verification
Before your offer is revealed, we send a one-time 6-digit code to the mobile number you provide. By submitting your number you confirm that:
- the number belongs to you or you are authorised to use it;
- you consent to receive that verification code, plus offer and appointment messages relating to your enquiry, by SMS;
- codes expire after 10 minutes and must not be shared with anyone.
Verification confirms a reachable contact; it is not identity verification and does not itself create a sale. We will never ask you for your code, your bank PIN, or your Mobile Money PIN.
4. Your indicative online estimate
A revealed offer is valid for 7 days and is based on the details you supplied online. The final price is subject to and confirmed only after a free physical inspection at one of our branches. The offer may be revised up or down — or withdrawn entirely — based on the car's actual mechanical condition, bodywork, mileage accuracy and documentation. You are never obligated to accept the final figure, and the inspection is always free of charge.
At the branch we:
- verify ownership against the DVLA registration documents you provide and any authorised registry service available to us;
- confirm the vehicle's identity (chassis/VIN) and condition; and
- check there are no undisclosed faults, accident history or outstanding finance.
If the vehicle differs materially from the details given, we may revise or withdraw the offer. You are under no obligation to accept, and there is no charge for a valuation or inspection.
5. Selling your vehicle to us
To complete a sale you must bring valid DVLA registration documents, a valid Ghana Card or other accepted photo ID, and the vehicle's keys. You confirm that you are the legal owner (or authorised to sell) and that the vehicle is free of undisclosed liabilities. Any outstanding finance must be disclosed and will be settled from the sale proceeds.
6. Payment
Once an offer is accepted and documents are verified, payment is made by Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money) or bank transfer to an account in the seller's name. We do not pay third-party accounts without written authorisation.
7. Marketing messages
When you request a valuation we ask two separate questions. The first is consent to send you a
verification code and service messages about that valuation — these are necessary for the service and
we cannot provide a valuation without them.
The second is optional: whether you would also like to receive occasional marketing messages
from us by SMS, such as offers, car-buying guidance and market updates. This box is not ticked by
default, you do not have to tick it, and your valuation is completely unaffected by your choice.
If you do opt in, you are agreeing that we may contact you about our services in future, including
after your valuation is complete. We may use the vehicle and location details you gave us to make those
messages relevant to you — for example telling people in your region about vehicles similar to theirs.
You can stop marketing messages at any time, at no cost and without giving a reason, by:
- replying STOP to any marketing message we send you; or
- emailing us at hellosikacar@gmail.com and asking to be removed.
We action opt-out requests promptly and permanently. Opting out of marketing does not stop service
messages about a valuation or transaction that is already under way, because those are necessary to
deliver what you asked for.
We do not sell your phone number or personal details to third parties. Where a later stage of our
platform involves sharing a vehicle opportunity with verified dealers, we will ask for your specific
agreement at that point.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information and not to misuse the service, submit false details, or attempt to interfere with the website or verification system.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Ghanaian law, sikacar.com is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on an indicative valuation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows when. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Ghanaian courts.
